21 November 2024

Find out information and advice that could help with the cost of living at the first Thurrock Cares Roadshow taking place on Monday 25 November.

Thurrock Council, in collaboration with Thurrock CVS and the Stronger Together Thurrock partnership, is hosting the free drop-in event at Aveley Community Hub in Aveley, South Ockendon, from 10am to 1pm.

Organisations from the voluntary and community sector including Thurrock Foodbank will be offering help and advice. Support services from the council will be available covering health and wellbeing, housing and utilities, and finance and debt, and Thurrock Adult Community College will talk about employment and training opportunities.

Residents can also find out about practical support in communities, such as access to food and community pantries, and information on other services such as Citizens Advice.

Winter warmer packs will be given out during the roadshow and across the three remaining roadshow dates. These were donated by housing contractor MPD FM Ltd.
